The fund is to help the population that has been badly affected by the constant attacks of the Israeli army

PUTRAJAYA — Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar has urged all state religious authorities to ensure that the Tabung Musa’adah fun drive-in aid of the Palestinians will be a success.

In a statement issued in conjunction with the launch of the fundraising drive, which was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today, Mohd Na’im said donations can be made beginning today until 30 November.

“On the basis of universal humanity, as the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), I have mobilised immediate action to help the victims involved through hajat prayers held today and financial donations,” he said.

Earlier, he attended the fundraising drive launch ceremony held at Mahmoodiah Mosque, Precinct 18 here.

Mohd Na’im said that proceeds from the collection will be transferred to the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia Tabung Musa’adah-Yayasan Waqf Malaysia (JAKIM-YWM) via CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad bank account 86-0221818-6 before being channelled to the victims.

The recent clashes in Palestine involving Hamas, the ruling authority in Gaza, and the Israeli regime have resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives on both sides since 7 October. — Bernama
