"Friends" star, Matthew Perry was found dead at his LA home on Saturday

“Friends” star Matthew Perry was found dead Saturday in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home, law enforcement sources said. He was 54.

As reported by LA Times, authorities first responded to calls of cardiac arrest at 4 pm, where he was discovered unresponsive, at his house in the Pacific Palisades. He appeared to have died due to drowning.

No drugs were found on the scene and no foul play is suspected.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s robbery-homicide detectives are investigating the death. The cause of death will be determined at a later date by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Perry was best known for his longtime role as Chandler Bing in the hugely successful “Friends” which ran for 10 seasons on the NBC Network from 1994 to 2004, co-starring with Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow. — Malaysiaxpress
