KUALA LUMPUR — Bursa Malaysia stayed lower at midmorning as investors opted to book profit after yesterday’s (15 Nov) rally.
At 11.05 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 4.89 points to 1,464.09 compared to Wednesday’s closing of 1,466.84.
The index opened 2.06 points easier at 1,464.78.
Losers outpaced gainers 454 to 317, while 385 counters were unchanged, 1,224 untraded and 24 others suspended.
Turnover amounted to 1.75 billion units valued at RM633.97 million.
Among the heavyweights, Maybank was flat at RM9.14, while Public Bank, CIMB and IHH lost one sen to RM4.22, RM5.79 and RM5.97, respectively.
Of the actives, Top Glove bagged 2.5 sen to 77.5 sen, while Hong Seng and Computer Forms were unchanged at 4.0 sen and 18 sen, respectively.
On the index board, the FBM Emas Index dropped 29.29 points to 10,802.77, the FBMT 100 Index fell 27.26 points to 10,466.57, the FBM Emas Shariah Index declined 27.26 points to 11,010.80, the FBM 70 Index was 3.44 points lower at 14,285.37 snd the FBM ACE Index lost 0.68 of-a-point to 5,120.50.
Sector-wise, the Financial Services Index decreased by 22.22 points to 16,407.88, the Energy Index slid 4.57 points to 858.27, the Plantation Index reduced by 15.61 points to 7,006.62 and the Industrial Products and Services Index fell by 0.92 of-a-point to 1734.64. — Bernama
