ISKANDAR PUTERI — Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) head coach Esteban Solari is extremely proud of his players and describes their 2-1 victory against South Korean giant, Ulsan Hyundai FC, yesterday (7 Nov) as sweet revenge.
Solari said defeating the 2012 and 2020 ACL champions was a magnificent achievement for the Southern Tigers after facing a difficult match.
“When we played in South Korea, we doubted ourselves and we lost 1-3.
“Today, I am very happy, we defeated the Korean team after making extra efforts… the team played really well and we now look forward to the next game,” he told reporters at the post-match press conference here, last night.
Meanwhile, Ulsan Hyundai head coach Hong Myung Bo expressed his disappointment as the team failed to secure more goals.
“We have some chances (to score).
“It’s difficult, but all the players have played their best.
“What we can do is to prepare for the next match,” he said.
